Pickup & Transport
- Regulated Medical Waste is picked up by a DOT, OSHA, HIPAA certified Oklahoma Medical Waste service professional. The service professional follows our custom OKMW infection control policy.
- All Regulated Medical Waste is picked up in approved RMW containers provided by Oklahoma Medical Waste.
- All Sharps containers MUST travel inside of a Regulated Medical Waste container.
- Regulated Medical Waste containers are loaded onto an OKMW vehicle that is in compliance with all federal, state and local DOT regulations.
- Regulated Medical Waste Containers are then replaced in the facility with sterilized RMW containers.
- Waste is then transported to the approved Medical Waste Treatment Disposal Facility.
- OKMW utilizes an electronic Medical Waste Manifest System.

DEQ Tier One Transfer Station
Oklahoma Medical Waste is proud of its DEQ-approved Tier One Transfer Station. This facility allows us to accumulate Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) for up to 96 hours in a refrigerated 46 ft trailer before transporting it to the processing facility.
This system maximizes routing efficiency, reduces costs, and lets our customers see real-time savings.

Electronic Manifest System
How it works:
- The driver accesses your manifest on a smartphone or tablet.
- Pickup quantities are entered and both driver and customer digitally sign.
- A signed PDF manifest is instantly emailed to you and uploaded to your online portal.
- Final Certificate of Destruction is emailed after processing.
- View all manifests anytime under the “OSHA Compliance” tab with your login.
